There are some stuffs, that we can’t live without. For me, WordPress and Google are two things those make my day on daily basis. Always wondering at how the technology has evolved so far. Today, WordPress realeased its latest version 2.6.

I’m happy to announce that version 2.6 of WordPress.org is now available, almost a month ahead schedule. Version 2.6 “Tyner,” named for jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, contains a number of new features that make WordPress a more powerful CMS: you can now track changes to every post and page and easily post from wherever you are on the web, plus there are dozens of incremental improvements to the features introduced in version 2.5.

This new release included several improvements and really breath taking and most wanted features for the WordPress community. I just download the latest version and while setting the server upload session to my NIRAM.ORG, I am writing this post just to tell that WordPress on the go! Hope the improvements will help to enhance the way of interaction of the people who intend to make web a friendly virtual place.

I am very fond in learning and practicing Open source issues. Because all the open source actions were enabling people to have information and knowledge as freedom. Think about the day we have no choices rathar than getting softwares from some well known companies. Which were led to us to have our likes a limit. But, when Open Source came in to rule, everything was changed and all new trends come alive to work.

People behind Open source are very curious and making things possible for more uses. The man behind the Linux – an open source operating system was Linus Torvalds, he is celebrating his 37th birthday today. He made the world to think about freedom in information and knowledge. Now, we have Wikipedia like huge info zone and Ubuntu like better operating system.

I am taking this opportunity to express my heartfelt wishes to Linus Torvalds for making things better for future..

Linus Torvalds, Computer Scientist

• Birthplace: Helsinki, Finland
• Best Known As: The guy who wrote the kernel for the Linux Operating System

In 1991 Linus Torvalds was a college student at the University of Helsinki. Starting with the basics of a Unix system, he wrote the kernel — original code — for a new system for his x86 PC that was later dubbed Linux (pronounced linn-ucks). Torvalds revealed the original source code for free — making him a folk hero among programmers — and users around the world began making additions and now continue to tweak it. Linux is considered the leader in the practice of allowing users to re-program their own operating systems.

Information and even technology changing day by day. We have the time that Wikipedia will be the giant source of information all time in future. But, here is an announcement made by co-founder of Wikipedia Mr. Larry Sanger, that he will host a new project called “Citizendium” – which is a online encyclopedia not wikipedia.

Speaks to media Larry said:

We believe a fork is necessary, and justified, both to allow regular people a place to work under the direction of experts, and in which personal accountability – including the use of real names – is expected. In short, we want to create a responsible community and a good global citizen,

As much as this project aquire every data from the Wikipedia and find out the article’s vulnerebilities and accuracy with the help of related professionals. This procedure will hopefully make Citizendium a worth and accuracy encyclopedia rathar than Wikipedia.

But, It couldn’t to say that Wikipedia will expire when Citizendium on the go. Most people will see Citizendium as a more trustworthy version of Wikipedia and as a result will probably use it. Setting up the system will be hard but, I think, it is very possible after some hard works.

Whatever, However I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt wishes and thanks to all guys working behind Wikipedia and Citizendium. These people making information more freedom.
